About Tom
Owner of Melbourne Rope Access, Thomas Cullen started working in Sydney, in Rope Access when the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association was fresh on our shores back in 2007 and the course was only available in NSW. He is one of the first 24,000 members of IRATA globally and had the privilege of being trained by Leigh Greenwood (a Pioneer in the industry). Thomas has worked in all aspects of construction, maintenance & cleaning including some of Sydney’s most iconic sites like the SCG (Allianz Stadium). He worked on the Pyrmont cement silos, Century Tower, Harbour Bridge and many more. Thomas was the youngest Team Supervisor in NSW and probably Australia, managing a team of 5-8 Rope Access Technicians, co-ordinating with clients and engineers and running large restoration and painting projects smoothly.
In 2012 Tom & Sinead started The Victorian Window Cleaning Company and have hundreds of happy clients from towering skyscrapers to small apartment buildings and many homes. The evolution into what is now Melbourne Rope Access came from a desire to build something bigger, more professional and more worthwhile. Tom had a dream to have a company with such a good reputation that he could literally hand pick the team and take the best of the best from every company in Australia.
